Texas turtle sheet cake

If you want to freeze this cake, you can freeze the cake after you have made it and frosted. Leave the cake in the baking sheet, allow it to cool completely. Then cover with plastic wrap, then a layer of aluminum foil. To use, remove from the freezer, unwrap, then let thaw at room temperature.

Ingredients:

+ Cake Dough:
° 2 cups all-purpose flour
° 1 cup of sugar
° 1 teaspoon of baking soda
° 1/2 teaspoon of salt
° 1 cup unsalted butter
° 1 cup of brewed coffee, may contain water
° 1/3 cup natural unsweetened cocoa powder
° 2 large eggs
° 1/2 cup buttermilk *
° 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
+ Fudge Frosting:
° 1/2 cup unsalted butter
° 1/4 cup natural unsweetened cocoa powder
° 1/2 cup of milk
° 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
° pinch of salt
° 3 cups powdered sugar, sifted

Preparation :

Preheated oven to 350 ℉ also spraying half a baking sheet with cooking spray. Put apart .

In a big bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking soda also salt. Mixing with a fork and set apart .

Heating a medium amount on medium heat. Adding butter, once butter has melted, adding to water (or coffee). Stirring in cocoa powder until smooth. Adduce this blending to a boil.

Removing from heat and sweetly pour into dry ingredients. Stirring together.

Adding eggs to cake batter. Stirring to blend. And pour in buttermilk and adding vanilla. Stirring to blend.

Pour to a prepared baking sheet. Bake for 25 to 27 minutes. Once cake is cooked, removing from oven and permit cool.

Directly prepare frosting, melted butter in a medium saucepan. Adding cocoa powder, milk, vanilla also a pinch of salt. Mix then adding the powdered sugar. Stir until soft .

Removing from heat & pour the icing on the hot cake. Sprinkle frosting with a spatula if necessary. Permit cake cooled before serving.
